An international audience of over 500 attend the 8th Annual RNA Symposium
University of Michigan President Santa J. Ono, Ph.D., welcomed speakers and attendees to the Center for RNA Biomedicine’s 8th Annual RNA Symposium, “Unmasking the Power of RNA: From Structure to Medicine.”
A total of five distinguished keynote speakers presented talks on various RNA therapeutics topics: Drew Weissman, M.D., Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania; Victoria D’Souza, Ph.D., Harvard University; Brenton R. Graveley, Ph.D., University of Connecticut; Leemor Joshua-Tor, Ph.D., Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory; and Peter Todd, M.D., Ph.D., University of Michigan.
Over 300 scientists, researchers, students, faculty scholars, and professionals from the biomedical and pharmaceutical industries attended the symposium in person, with another 200 participating via Zoom from around the world, including France, Germany, Colombia, India, and Australia.
The Michigan Science Writers, a student organization dedicated to improving public understanding of science, were once again on hand to capture all the stories.
