Adrien Chauvier, Ph.D., honored with OVPR award for advancing research

Congratulations to Adrien Chauvier, Ph.D., one of 12 staff members from across the University of Michigan recognized by the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) for their outstanding service and leadership in advancing research, scholarship and creative practice.
Known collectively as The Research Staff Recognition Awards, Chauvier was honored with the Research Associate/Assistant/Technician Recognition Award for his work as the Senior Research Lab Specialist in the Nils Walter Lab, Department of Chemistry, College of Literature, Science and the Arts.
“I am deeply honored to receive such a prestigious award!” Chauvier said.

“It’s humbling to see how my work and contribution are recognized not only by my peers and mentees but also by the entire University of Michigan community. I am grateful for the opportunity to work in such a vibrant and dynamic environment at U-M and thrive by using my passion and love for science to help and inspire students and colleagues to succeed.”
Chauvier recently presented a talk, “Real-time Monitoring of Ligand Recognition by a Riboswitch during Transcription,” for the RNA Collaborative Seminar Series on April 9, along with Grace McIntyre, Ph.D. Candidate, Michigan Medicine Department of Pathology. A video recording of the April 9 RNA Collaborative Seminar is available to view on our YouTube channel.
The 12 recipients from nine U-M schools, colleges and units will be recognized on May 22 at the annual Research Staff Recognition Awards ceremony in the Pendleton Room of the Michigan Union. Awardees will also receive a $1,000 personal honorarium.
