Who/what brought you to science? Central dogma! I was obsessed by the central dogma in high school textbook and became interest in biological science.
What are your research interests? I’m interested in developing new CRISPR based tools to enable previously undoable genomic manipulations, and harnessing CRISPR for more efficient and comprehensive biological studies.
What do you hope is the outcome/impact of your research? Using CRISPR for precise genomic manipulation, I hope we can revolutionize the scientific approach for gene function studies, as well as the therapeutic strategy for certain diseases.
What advice would you give to students who’d like to get more involved in research? To get initiate to explore science might be hard, but don’t give up, it’s going to be fun after you pass the learning curve.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? I would really love to attempt to be a farmer, enjoy planting and feeding animals.
What are your longer-term career aspirations? I hope to witness genome editing/ gene therapy end people’s fear to cancer.
