There was a fantastic Collaborative Seminar yesterday with talks by Grace McIntyre, Ph.D. Candidate, Michigan Medicine Department of Pathology, and Adrien Chauvier, Ph.D., Senior Scientist, Nils Walter Lab University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, Department of Chemistry.

We appreciate the time and contributions of these scientists and thank them for sharing their research with the RNA Collaborative community. A video recording of the April 9 RNA Collaborative Seminar is now available to view on our YouTube channel.

The next RNA Collaborative Seminar will be co-hosted on Zoom by the University of Michigan Center for RNA Biomedicinewith presentations by Grace McIntyre, Ph.D. Candidate, Department of Pathology, and Adrien Chauvier, Ph.D., Senior Scientist in the Nils Walter Lab. The Center for RNA Biomedicine will present two talks:

“High-Throughput Identification of Small Molecule Inhibitors Targeting OncoMiR-181a for Cancer Therapy.”

This talk will be presented by Grace McIntyre, Ph.D. StudentPh.D. Candidate, Department of Pathology, University of Michigan. Grace is a student in the DiFeo Lab.


The second talk will be presented by Adrien Chauvier, Ph.D., Research Lab Specialist, Nils Walter Laboratory – Department of Chemistry, University of Michigan, RNA Center for Biomedicine.

“Real-time Monitoring of Ligand Recognition by a Riboswitch during Transcription”

The center will share hosting with the University of Rochester Center for RNA Biology, which will present the following talk:

“Discovery and Therapeutic Applications of RNA ‘Stitching’.”

This talk will be presented by Doug Anderson, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine, Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI); Member, University of Rochester Center for RNA Biology: From Genome to Therapeutics.
