TREnD 2020 Toronto – Day 2

TREnD 2020 Online will encompass two days of RNA-related talks by trainees across multiple model genetic systems, taking place from 1:00-4:00 pm EST on July 29th and 30th.
Kick off Day 1 with keynote speaker, Dr. Laura Landweber from the Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Landweber’s lab investigates the origin of novel genetic systems and complex genome architectures using the ciliate Oxytricha as a model. Recent discoveries include the ability of small and long non-coding RNA molecules to program genome organization across generations, bypassing the information encoded in DNA.
Kicking off Day 2, Dr. April Pawluk, Scientific Editor at Cell, will lead a workshop on how to construct an effective RNA manuscript.
TREnD 2020 Online will be delivered using the Zoom platform. Registration is required.
